Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California is a very amazing place to visit. I have been at least five times in my lifetime. It was always in the summer for nationals, like everywhere else I go is for. I went to so many different, and amazing places in Los Angeles, but my favorite has always been, and always will be Disney Land.
Disney Land is the most amazing place I have ever been, besides Disney World, but they are pretty much the same thing, so they are both amazing. When I first went to Disney Land, I bought a build a bear. I loved the build a bear too. I still have it in my room today.
Annually, there are about twenty four million people who visit Los Angeles California for their summer vacations, or whatever time of the year they decide to have their vacations.
The name for Los Angles used to be El Angeles de la Porcuincula, which means: Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angeles of the Small Portion. When the town was first founded, there were only forty four people, or about fourteen families living in it. Then, the town began to grow and grow, until the name just didn’t fit anymore, so they cut it short to simply Los Angeles.

Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi is a wonderful place to visit. It is a very big and major city. Mostly, it is a “goof-off” city for tourists. There are tons of people who live in Corpus Christi too.
Corpus Christi has the only know store that has been founded by Selena, the singer.
The beach is probably the main tourist attraction for just about all the tourists.
There are over two hundred parks located in Corpus Christi, and they are trying to obtain more. Most people say the parks are good for the health of most people, and it makes everything else seem more “alive”.
The Padre Island Texas and Corpus Christi Bay, which includes McGee Beach and Corpus Christi beach are great beaches that provide endless recreational purposes for yourself and the entire family. Even for your grandparents, although, they may come at a later time during the annual years.
For the senior citizens, or even the whole family, there is a golf course. There are actually two golf courses, the Lozano Golf Center, and the Oso Beach Municipal Golf Course. They are both full size, and very big.
The Corpus Christi Municipal Marina is the main focal point of Corpus Christi. It is located on the Corpus Christi bay, who is protected for the Gulf of Mexico by Sandy barrier islands off the Texas Coast.

San Francisco, California

The San Francisco Zoo is one of the most popular zoos in northern California. It has been around for about eighty years. The zoo first opened in 1929 and is still open here in 2009.
There are lots and lots of animals at the San Francisco zoo. From the little monkeys to the big, scary alligators that live near the water.
There are also programs for children from the age of toddlers through twelve years old. This program teaches the younger kids about all the animals that live in the San Francisco zoo. The San Francisco Zoo also supports birthday parties! The San Francisco zoo has an extremely good indoors birthday party room. They say “the zoo offers a delightful and unique environment for children’s celebrations. With our indoor birthday party room in the Leaping Lemur CafĂ©, parties can take place throughout the year, rain or shine. We work to make your celebration easy for you and your group while the zoo provide for a roaring good time.”
Another interesting place to go in San Francisco is to the Muir Woods .The Muir Woods are home to some of the tallest coastal Redwood trees. MY family and I took a walk through these woods. IT was the longest walk of my life. I remember at the very end of the trip, there stood the oldest looking tree I have ever seen. The top part had fallen over, and there was a huge hole straight through the tree. It was the happiest day of my life!

Orlando, Florida

Orlando is a pretty amazing place. There are tons of things to do there, just like every other place, but what makes every other place so special is they might be the same things, but there are tons of different types, such as Sea World, and Disney Land/ Disney World, and Schlitter Bon.
When I was little, I would beg my parents to let me go to Orlando Florida every summer for our vacation. They would always say we would when I had a gymnastics competition in Orlando. I would beg and beg. My parents held their word, and said no. Then, the time came when I finally had a gymnastics competition in Orlando, Florida. We stayed in this gorgeous hotel with a water park inside it. They had a huge bucket that would take almost thirty minutes to fill, when it would, I would run under and get drenched in water.
I believe Disney World is not exactly in Orlando, but I believe it is close. It is just as magical as Disney Land, except all the princess characters look very different form the ones in Disney Lnad. Still, the fireworks are amazing at night. I hope I’ll be able to back soon.

Ruidoso, New Mexico

Ruidoso is a very good place to visit if you like the mountains and rainy weather. I love both very much. My family and I take our vacations there every year during the summer with some of our friends. It is our tradition to always go to the horse races. When I was little I thought it was really boring, and couldn’t wait to go to a fun track that I can’t remember the name of. There were bumper boats that I could never go on because I was too little, then when I was old enough it was always so cold. I like to go on the race track and race my dad with the go carts. He would always pass me over and over and for some reason I could never figure out how to beat him.
Then there are the delicious restaurants that just seemed to be everywhere in Ruidoso. We went to so many breakfast restaurants that I don’t think I could remember any of the ones we went to.
When I was little we would always go on a road trip into the woods looking for deer and bears. We never did find any bears, but we would see the fur on the trash cans when we took the trash out.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is the brightest city I have ever been to. I have been to Las Vegas so many times in the past, mostly because of gymnastics competitions. Usually, the only way I can travel just about anywhere is because of gymnastics. Las Vegas is the place to go if you are an all time partier.
I remember I was about eight, the last time I went to Las Vegas. We stayed in a castle sort of hotel. The employees were all always required to wear a specific costume every day. My favorite was the princess. She was always so pretty, and her smile made everyone else smile too. There were also a mime, a clown, a prince, a king, and so many other characters that I don’t remember. There were about three restraints in the one hotel. We ate breakfast in the hotel every day, and it was amazing.
Las Vegas is known as the sin city, because there is so much gambling and drinking. There are so many slot machines and poker tables. At our hotel, there were a couple of gambling places. I was never able to go into any of them. Instead, we had a girl draw me while my parents went to gamble.

Seattle, Washington

Seattle is the city I want to live in when I finish college. I love the rainy weather, and Seattle has it all. It isn’t a very big city, but plenty crowded. I either want to live in Seattle, or someplace close to it.
The Great Blue Heron is Seattle’s city bird. It was named the city bird on March 17, 2003. That wasn’t too long ago. The Great Blue Heron is a very big bird with a long neck, long legs, and very long and very wide wings. It likes to stay closer to the ocean or lake where there is a lot of water.
There is so much rain in Seattle. I love to sit outside and watch the rain hit the ground, then splash into many different directions. The only problem here in Texas is that it hardly ever rains. My uncle lives a town right outside of Seattle. My cousin visits him once a year. I have never actually been there, but I know it is a very big pretty place. MY cousin says it is so pretty. She invited me to go this past year, but my father said it was none of my business going all the way up there with no adults with me. I understood that he didn’t want me to get hurt, or for anything to happen to me, but what I didn’t understand was what he had against my uncle.
